Friends of Kashmir hold crucial meeting in Washington.
Washington: A significant gathering of friends of Kashmir took place in Washington, D.C., the other day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting was attended by prominent individuals from Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, Azad Kashmir, and the Washington metropolitan area. The guests visited Sardar Zarif Khan, Advisor to the President of Azad Kashmir, at his residence in Springfield, suburban Washington.
Sardar Zarif Khan, who has been recovering, made a remarkable appearance, standing and walking with minimal support. The attendees were delighted to see his progress and wished him a speedy recovery.
The meeting focused on the crucial role of the Kashmiri diaspora in promoting the Kashmir cause. It was emphasized that the global Kashmir diaspora must engage and educate British and American youth of Kashmiri heritage to take responsibility and participate in various activities, such as social media campaigns, seminars, and lectures on university campuses.
The attendees stressed that the Kashmiri diaspora must hold on to the cause and never compromise on the principle of self-determination, despite the oppression of the occupying forces. The meeting lasted for four hours and was followed by a dinner hosted by Sardar Zeeshan Khan, son of Sardar Zarif Khan.
