Bomb explodes outside nightclub in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: An explosion occurred outside a nightclub in Chandigarh early Tuesday morning, causing minor damage to the building and shattering window panes. The blast took place between 2:30 and 2:45 am.

According to Kashmir Media Service, two suspects on a motorcycle threw a low-intensity explosive at a private club, De’Orra, which is located near Sevillee bar and lounge, owned by rapper Badshah. The two restaurants are approximately 30 meters away from each other.

The Chandigarh Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the identity of the perpetrators. Teams from the bomb detection squad and the Chandigarh Forensic Science Laboratory have collected samples from the scene. The device may have been a crude bomb, possibly intended for extortion.

The police are yet to confirm the cause of the blast, but sources believe it may have been caused by homemade bombs. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of businesses and individuals in the area.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working to determine the motive behind the blast.
