Hindu extremists attack Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Tripura
Agartala: A large group of Hindutva extremists attacked the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in the Indian state of Tripura.
According to Kashmir Media Service, over 50 individuals associated with the Hindu Sangarsha Samiti, a Hinutva extremist group, launched the attack on the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, the capital of Tripura, on Monday.
Bangladesh’s interim government stated that the protesters broke down the mission’s main gate, damaged property inside, vandalized the flag pole and desecrated the national flag, leaving diplomatic staff feeling deeply insecure.
The Bangladesh government has strongly condemned the attack, urging India to take immediate action against protesters who broke into its consulate. The government emphasized that targeting diplomatic staff and damaging property as completely unacceptable.
