APHC-AJK condemns Indian troops’ desecration of Holy Quran in Central Jail Srinagar
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran by Indian troops in Srinagar Central Jail, located in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a joint statement issued in Islamabad, the Convenor of APHC-AJK, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, along with leaders Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, Shamim Shawl, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Zahid Safi, Altaf Ahmad Butt, Zahid Ashraf, and other Hurriyat leaders, expressed their intense outrage and grief over the incident. They emphasized that no Muslim can tolerate the desecration of the Holy Quran.
The leaders pointed out that this heinous act has deeply hurt the feelings of Muslims worldwide. They reminded that the Quran is the final divine book sent by Allah for the guidance of humanity and is cherished by every Muslim more than life itself.
The Hurriyat leaders further stated that such blasphemous acts will not be tolerated under any circumstances. They condemned the Indian Hindu nationalist government for consistently attempting to hurt the religious sentiments of Kashmiri Muslims through deliberate and planned actions. The BJP-led government, they said, has made life unbearable for the Kashmiri people with its anti-Muslim policies.
The Hurriyat leadership urged the people of Kashmir to launch widespread protests against the desecration of the Holy Quran by Indian forces’ personnel and demand justice for this sacrilegious act. They called on the Kashmiri population to express their outrage through large-scale demonstrations to record their strong opposition to the ongoing mistreatment and persecution under Indian occupation.
