Reckless jingoism drives India to deploy 20 new CRPF battalions in IIOJK
Srinagar: In yet another display of reckless jingoism and oppressive militarization, India is deploying an additional 20,000 paramilitary troops from its Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, further tightening its iron grip on the besieged territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has formally approved the move, which will raise 20 new CRPF battalions exclusively for deployment in the occupied territory. This expansion is part of a desperate attempt to reinforce India’s failing occupation, particularly after the embarrassing collapse of ‘Operation Sindoor’.
The Indian Finance Ministry has already rubber-stamped the proposal, signaling New Delhi’s relentless commitment to military aggression over political resolution. Reports indicate these new battalions will be armed with advanced operational gear, tailored for IIOJK’s rugged terrain—a clear admission that India anticipates prolonged resistance against its illegal occupation.
This escalation is not just about “security”; it’s a strategic admission of failure. Despite deploying nearly one million soldiers in the territory, India has failed to break the will of the Kashmiri people.
Instead of addressing the root causes—denial of self-determination, brutal repression and human rights violations—Modi’s regime continues to double down on militarization, further isolating itself on the global stage.
