Senior THK leader passes away in Sopore

Srinagar: Senior Tehreek-e-Hurriyet leader and educationist Wali Mohammad Shah (95) passed away in Sopore town of Baramulla district, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the late Wali Mohammad Shah (95), who was also a member of Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu Kashmir, passed away on Thursday morning after a long illness at his residence in Seelu area of the town. He spent forty years in education at different posts and remained with the Hurriyet camp with an ideological commitment. He was also a close associate of shaheed icon leader Syed Ali Gilani.

APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, while expressing condolences and sympathy with the bereaved family, paid high tribute to his contribution, stand, and sacrifices for the Kashmir cause. He added that history would remember his contribution to the just cause and the Two-Nation Theory ideology.
