Springfield, Virginia: Representatives of Kashmiri diaspora held a preparatory meeting in Springfield, Virginia, US, to plan a peaceful protest at the UN Headquarters in New York during the Indian delegate’s address to the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 28.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest aims to draw attention to the human rights situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the Indian government’s actions in the territory.
The meeting, arranged by the World Kashmir Awareness Forum, discussed the plan for the protest and emphasized the importance of calling out the Indian delegate for representing a country that has occupied Jammu and Kashmir for 77 years.
