‘No, not my greeting’: Kashmiri MP Ruhullah Mehdi condemns Modi’s Israel support

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior National Conference leader and Indian parliament member from Srinagar, Agha Ruhullah Mehdi, has strongly rejected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks in the Israeli parliament, asserting that Modi does not speak for him.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during his address on Wednesday, Modi claimed to carry the “greetings of 1.4 billion Indians” and conveyed a message of “friendship, respect and partnership”.
Responding to Modi’s comments on X, Agha Ruhullah Mehdi wrote: “No, not my greetings. Give them my curses for their illegal occupation of Palestine and the genocide in Gaza.”
Ruhullah Mehdi has repeatedly condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza and consistently expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause, highlighting widespread opposition in Kashmir to India’s support for Israel.
