Mehbooba Mufti pledges support for any secular coalition in IIOJK to keep BJP at bay

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, President of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), asserted that that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will never be able to form government in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to reporters in Jammu, Mehbooba emphasized her commitment to supporting the establishment of any secular government that aims to keep the BJP out of power in the territory. “There will be a secular government in J&K, and the PDP will play a crucial role in whatever government is formed here,” she stated.

Responding to a query on whether she would join hands with the National Conference for government formation, she said: “Our aim is to keep the BJP away from power. The PDP will support the formation of any secular government in Jammu and Kashmir to keep BJP away.”

When asked about the possibility of collaborating with the National Conference for government formation, she responded, “Our primary aim is to prevent the BJP from coming to power. The PDP will support the formation of any secular government in Jammu and Kashmir to achieve this.”

Commenting on Indian Prime Minister Modi’s recent visit to IIOJK, she pointed out that those who come to criticize them have little to offer the people of the occupied territory.

Mehbooba also raised concerns about pressing issues such as unemployment, mental health challenges, and drug abuse in the territory, while criticizing New Delhi’s electricity policies and the tendency to allocate contracts to outsiders.
