DFP urges privileged to help under-privileged segment of society in Ramadan
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) led by jailed senior APHC leader Shabbir Shah, has appealed to the Kashmir masses to maintain austerity and the high spirit of the real Islamic values while observing the fasting during Ramadan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the DFP spokesman advocate Arshad Iqbal in a statement here on Thursday said, “Ramadan ul Mubarak is a holy month that provides us a unique opportunity to share our blessings with those who are less fortunate and under-privileged”.
He reiterated that it is the month of feeling the pain of destitute and needy brethren of the society especially those facing the tough times under Indian subjugation.
Highlighting the plight of the downtrodden segments of the society, the DFP spokesman maintained, “On one hand we have economically less privileged segment of society while on the other a large number of people, who have lost their livelihood and homes due to the occupation authorities’ oppressive policies, are in dire need of financial support”.
Urging philanthropists and donors to contribute generously for the uplift of the victims of Indian state oppression, the DFP spokesman said, “Let us not to forget the homeless, the heirs of martyrs, orphans and families of incarcerated political activists who have been languishing in jails for the past several years”.
